OUR PROGRAMMES

JUNIOR LIFE PROGRAMME (JLC)

Our Junior Life Programme was established in April 1994. The programme was born out of the need to fill an educational gap between the primary and secondary school system for students who scored below 30% in the Common Entrance Examination (now known as the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) Examination).

After having successfully established three Hi-Tech Centres, SERVOL ventured into the world of industrial training and opened its Advanced Skills Training Centre in 2001. Ideally located in La Romaine, south Trinidad, the goal was to provide advanced training for persons wishing to seek employment  in the oil and gas industry. Learn more>>

In an effort to care for the differently-abled children in our communities, SERVOL opened a Special School in Port of Spain in 1974. This school caters for children between the ages of 6 to 17 who have been diagnosed as autistic, differently-abled or slow learners. Learn more>>

Our Barataria Hi-Tech Centre is designed to cater to SERVOL trainees who have completed the Adolescent Development Programme and wish to acquire skills in the ever-evolving field of computer technology.

Despite the best efforts of the Parent Outreach Program (POP) facilitators, it is evident that there are thousands of children who will not be reached by this programme and who will reach the age of three with battered egos and low self-esteem. For those, SERVOL offers hope through a high quality Early Childhood Care and Education Programme that touches the lives of over one hundred thousand (100,000) 3 to 5 year old children. Learn More>>

Our Job Training Programme assigns trainees to work and learn a variety of skills at various companies.  It is a practical experience for acquiring specific knowledge and skills in line with their area of skill training.
