Brief Course Description 


Trainees enrolled in the Programme will be exposed to theoretical and practical training in the field of Advanced Electrical Installation.  The training will include, but not limited to the following:  Electrical wiring of buildings, inspecting and testing of wiring, diagnosing and rectifying defects in the electrical circuits, drawing and blueprint reading, connect and install transformers.

  • Apprentice Electrician

Job Titles after further studies

  • Licensed Electrician (License awarded by T&TEC after examination)

Three (3) Terms (ADP not included)

Prerequisite

Electrical Installation Level 1 from Servol or Secondary School

Computer Literacy

Basic CXC mathematics 

Basic CXC English

Advanced Training 

  • University of the West Indies (UWI)

  • University of Trinidad & Tobago (UTT)

  • Distance Learning

Certification 

  • Servol Trade Certificate

  • National Examination Council (NEC) Level II

  • Opportunity to sit the Inspectorate wireman's License Examination after a two-year internship
